On behalf of TITE MUSICAL SOCIETY, “Dhwani” Musical Rock Band organized a musical extravaganza on 8/12/12 evening on TITE stage. All Staff, Faculty and students were present in the function. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, TITE, Dr. Trilochan Sahu. At last vote of thanks was presented on behalf of the society.


National Seminar on "Management of Community Waste (Solid & Liquid) & Production of Organic Fertilizer and Pesticides"

A U.G.C. Sponsored Two day National Seminar on “Management of Community Waste (Solid & Liquid) & Production of Organic Fertilizer and Pesticides” was organized by TempleCity Institute of Technology & Engineering (TITE), Khurda in collaboration with K.B.D.A.V. College, Nirakarpur on 25th & 26th Feb 2012. On the first day it was conducted at K.B.D.A.V. College, Nirakarpur. On the second day it was organized at TITE. Dr. A. Routaray an eminent professor of Electrical Engineering, IIT, Kharagpur Chaired the session. Dr. Routray focused on the solid waste of different types of batteries while Mr. Sidhanta Das, IFS, Secretary of Odisha pollution Control Board focusing on various issues related quality of river water.Mr. Deepak Mohanty, Director of Mines talked regarding generation of solid waste on local area and how to minimize such solid waste by proper management.

Prof. Bhabani S. Das, IIT Kharagpur emphasized on non point source of pollution on agricultural field due to application of fertilizer and pesticide. Prof. Narayan Chandra Nayak, IIT kharagpur gave an inspiring talk related to management of river water and economics and also highlighted to control the pollution of river water specifically on the Ganga. Dr. Trilochan Sahu, Principal (TITE), the staff members, delegates, and students were present to make the seminar successful. Dr. Banaja Routaray, Lecturer in Botany, KBDAV College, Nirakarpur delivered vote of thanks to one and all.

Seminar by Retd. IIT Professors on behalf of Faculty Chapter, TITE

TempleCity Institute of Technology & Engineering, Odisha organized a two-days seminar from 10.02.2012 to 11.02.2012. “Teacher Effectiveness: Can It be Enhanced” and “Energy Needs & Options” on 10th & 11th Feb. 2012. Dr. Purnima Mathur, Former Professor and Head, department of Humanities, IIT, Delhi delivered an interesting lecture on “Teacher Effectiveness: Can It be Enhanced” emphasizing the role of emotional intelligence, a tool for improvement of teachers performance.

Dr. Sartaj Swaroop Mathur, Former Professor & head, Centre for Energy Studies, IIT, Delhi has delivered an information lecture on different renewable energy sources & their efficiency. Dr. P. Tripathy, Director TITE presided over the session.

U.G.C. Sponsored National Seminar at TITE

A U.G.C. Sponsored Two day National Seminar on “Biological benefits for solving Unemployment” was organized by TITE, Khurda in collaboration with K.B.D.A.V. College, Nirakarpur on 5th & 6th Feb 2012. On the day one it was conducted in the K.B.D.A.V. College. Prof. (Dr.) R.P. Ruth, Ex-Director, Text Book Bureau chaired the session and gave the presidential address to the gathering. Prof. (Dr.) B.N. Nayak, emphasized the keynote address on “wider application of Biotechnology.” Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Sabat, Institute of Life Science, Bhubaneswar addressed on the topic “Biotechnology for all.” Dr. G.C. Ray, Deputy Secretary, Central Silk Board explained on the “Method of raising Sericulture and its advantage to solve the unemployment problem.” Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Panda, Ex-Principal, Revenshaw College gave a talk on the “utility of science for the welfare of mankind.” Major (Dr.) J.K. Das Mohapatra, welcomed the delegates and Dr. S.N. Padhy, the convenor gave the vote of thanks.

On the second day, Prof. (Dr.) R.C. Choudhury, Berhampur University, Chaired the session and it was followed by inspiring talks of dignitaries such as Dr. U.R. Acharya (B.U.), Dr. T.K. Barik (B.U.) and Dr. N. Sahoo, Dept. of Civil Engg. (TITE). The Speakers focused on Apiculture, Sericulture, integrated Agriculture etc. to solve today’s unemployment problems. Dr. Priyadarshi Tripathy, Director (TITE) welcomed the august gathering. Dr. Trilochan Sahu, Principal (TITE), the staff members, delegates, and students were present to make the seminar successful. Dr. Ganesh Chandra Panda, HOD (Civil Engg.) delivered vote of thanks.

Inauguration of ISTE Faculty Chapter at TITE

Indian Society For Technical Education (ISTE) Faculty Chapter was inaugurated on 05.01.2012 in TempleCity Institute of Technology & Engineering (TITE) by Prof.(Dr.) Bimal Sarangi, Chairman, Odisha Section. During the inauguration Prof.(Dr.) P.K. Parhi, Member Executive Council, ISTE presented a brief report about the prospects of Indian Society for Technical Education. Eminent poet, writer and administrator Mr. Hara Prasad Das delivered the quality aspects of Technical Teachers.

Prof. (Dr.) T. Sahu, Principal, TITE & Chairman, Faculty Chapter, ISTE and Mrs. (Dr.) S. Parija, Secretary, Faculty Chapter, ISTE delivered welcome address. Dr.P.K. Mishra, Vice Chairman, Knowledge Trust, Dr. C.R. Mishra, Secretary, Knowledge Trust, Dr. Priyadarshi Tripathy, Director, TITE, Er. Somdutt Behura, Trustee, Knowledge Trust were present and felicitated the guests. The meeting was ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Balakrishna Sahoo, Registrar, TITE.
