Launch of Academic Collaboration Between TITE and AIT , Bangkok on December 2nd , 2009
On the 2nd December 2009, TITE and AIT have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Under the MOU, they have launched the academic collaboration program on 3rd December 2009 at Knowledge campus, Barunei, Khurda, Orissa in presence of Prof. Vilas M. Salokhe , Director of Unified Program, AIT and Dr. Amiya K. Behera, Chairman, , Dr.P.K.Mishra Vice Chairman, Dr. C.R.Mishra, Secretary of Knowledge Trust and Dr. B.K.Das, Principal ,TITE .
The programs will as per the rules specified by the approving authority of India.This will result in delivery of world class education at lower cost to students of India in general and of Orissa in particular. For the students, the academic collaboration will also facilitate pursuing higher studies so essential for transition of India into a developed nation and a knowledge society with emphasis on innovation. This is in tune with the current thinking of Government of India and Government of Orissa for higher education.
Launch of Academic Collaboration Between TITE and NAU on September 14, 2009
On the 15th August 2009, TITE and NAU have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Under the MOU, they are launching the academic collaboration program on 14th September 2009 at Knowledge campus, Barunei, Khurda, Orissa in presence of Dr. Harvey Charles,Vice Provost For International Education, NAU , Mr. Christopher .R. Peltier, Centre for International Education, NAU , Dr. Aurobindo Behera, IAS, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, IDCOL, Orissa, Mr. Madhusudhan Padhi, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Higher Education, Govt. of Orissa, Prof.O.N.Mohanty, Vice-Chancellor, BPUT and Dr. Amiya K. Behera, Chairman, Knowledge Trust. Among others Dr.P.K.Mishra, Dr. C.R.Mishra Trustees and Mr. Somdutt Behura, NRI Trustee of Knowledge Trust were also present.
The academic collaboration provides for award of joint Bachelor degree, where the students will spend part of their time at TITE and the rest at NAU to complete their Bachelor degree. The MOU also provides for admission of students of the joint Bachelor program into post-graduate program at NAU, collaborative research, lectures and symposia and exchange of information and materials of interest for both. This will give a quantum jump to the academic activities at TITE that will benefit its students in a multifarious manner. This will also open a window of opportunity for global networking for TITE. Students of the joint program will be exposed to a different system of academic delivery, will have access to world class learning resources and will be exposed to multi-cultural ethos. NAU will also benefit from low cost and high quality manpower available at TITE for academic delivery. This will result in delivery of world class education at lower cost to students of India in general and of Orissa in particular.
